Interface RetryOptions

Exponential backoff factor (default: 2)

Maximum backoff delay in milliseconds (default: 10_000ms)

Initial delay in milliseconds before the first retry (default: 500ms)

Number of retry attempts (default: 0, no retry). Must be a non-negative integer; anything else throws a TypeError.

Custom predicate to determine whether to retry. Returns true to retry, false to stop.

Replaces the default policy entirely, including both the statusCodes check and the idempotent-method restriction.

HTTP status codes that trigger a retry. Default: [408, 429, 500, 502, 503, 504]

Only applies to idempotent methods (GET, HEAD, PUT, DELETE, OPTIONS, TRACE). POST and PATCH are never retried by the default policy; use retryOn to opt them in.
